Is there a Holistic Approach to the Treatment of SAD?

The holistic approach works best for sufferers who are sub-syndromal and do not need to be under the supervision of a medical practitioner. In its most severe form, SAD can be severely debilitating and could be formally diagnosed as bipolar disorder.

In this post I will be discussing sufferers who are capable of helping themselves – if you will, the difference between having difficulty getting out of bed in the morning, and being incapable of doing so.

So, the holistic approach to living with mild SAD is about

* understanding the condition
* minimising the effects of the cause
* addressing the symptoms in a range of ways

In the next few posts I'll be dealing with each of these more detail.
